Seawall ribbon cutting ceremony at Long Branch State Park on April 24

Missouri State Parks is inviting the public to come to Long Branch State Park on Wednesday, April 24 at
noon for a ribbon cutting ceremony. The event will dedicate the seawall and day-use area at the beach on Long Branch Lake.

Long Branch State Park partnered with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and the Long Branch Lake Association to build this improvement, which has stabilized a portion of the lake shore adjacent to the beach while creating a scenic area for everyone to come enjoy. Block steps, additional sidewalk and picnic sites are some amenities that have been added to the seawall.

Long Branch State Park is located two miles west of the U.S. Highway 63 and 36 junctions in Macon County. For more information about the event, call the park at 660‑773‑5229.
