 Fishing is still very good at Roaring River State Park, the river is low and clear, 2 lb. line is best right now, if you are fly fishing you'll have a great time right now, the dry fly action is very good, beetles, ants, hoppers, blue wing olives, caddis, griffith gnats, small cream midges are all good on top right now; use 7X on dries, if you are going to nymph fish, 6X works pretty well, but you'll get more hits if you use 7X and your leader should be 9' or longer right now; nymphs that are working right now would be caddis larva (burlaps), sow bugs pheasant tails, copper johns, small zebra midges (black, olive, and brown) #18 and smaller are best right now; baby buggers and Cracklebacks are both working very well, stripping these flies can be very effective in the heat of the day; worm and egg fisherman will do best on white, cheese, orange/white, John Deere green, electric chicken, and the pink/yellow have been good colors on the plastic baits; Rooster Tails, small spoons, 3" and smaller crankbaits, and the wooly spinners are all working well in the mornings; marabou jigs are very effective right now, Roaring River Specials are great, olive, white, black/yellow, tan and the brown with the green body (crystal chenille) have all been working well; micro jigs in tan, white, olive and black/yellow are all very good right now, you need 2 lb. line when throwing the small micro jigs;in Zone 3 nightcrawlers and corn have been working well, and the yellow Power Bait has been good also this past week.    (Reported on: 7/9/13)
