Peck Ranch is now open to elk tours. The 11 mile route takes about a half an hour to run the loop down road 1 to road 11 up to road 13 and back down road 10 to the valley. The entry and exit point to the elk route is located directly in front of Peck Ranch Headquarters. Folks are able to drive the elk route anytime during daylight hours seven days a week. During heat of the summer elk are most likely to be seen during the first couple hours of daylight or the last hours of the day. We have had around 150 people a week drive the tour routes. We do not guarantee an elk sighting but we can guarantee an exciting drive though woodlands and open fields where turkeys, deer, small mammals, reptiles, and various other wildlife can be seen. Remember these are rough gravel roads through Ozarks hills so come prepared and enjoy some of the best wildlife habitat that the Ozarks has to offer. Maps are available at nearby Twin Pines Conservation Education Center, Winona. For the latest information call 573-325-1381.
