JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Join a park naturalist on April 21 for a five-mile hike into the Mudlick Natural Area at Sam A. Baker State Park near Patterson. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, the free hike will begin at 9 a.m. and last until around 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

The hike will take you into the scenic Mudlick Hollow area of the park. Along the trail, you will discover diverse wildflowers, the historical structures depicting the New Deal Era and the unique geology of the St. Francois Mountains. The trail is rugged and steep in some places, so, wear sturdy hiking boots and bring plenty of snacks and water. Meet at the Mudlick Trail trailhead across from the park store.
