Summer Fun Day planned for June 9 at Crowder State Park

Join your friends and family at a Summer Fun Day June 9 at Crowder State Park near Trenton. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, the free event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Crowder Lake parking lot and the public is invited to attend.

The event will feature a variety of ways to have fun in the outdoors, including interactive nature tables and face painting. Naturalist-led hikes will be offered at 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Hike participants should wear closed-toed shoes.

Summer Fun Day is being held during the statewide free fishing weekend. Fishing equipment will be available for visitors to try out with assistance from staff from 1 to 4 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for the first fish of the day and largest fish of the day.
