Kayak clinics at Current River State Park start July 10

Current River State Park will be hosting a series of free kayak clinics during July and August. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, the clinics start at 10 a.m. and will last until 12 p.m. The clinics are targeted towards visitors wanting to learn the basics of kayaking.

The clinics, held on Fridays, beginning July 10 and concluding Friday, Aug. 14, will be taught on the park’s lower lake. Kayaks will be provided, but participants may bring their own kayaks if they would prefer. The clinics will be taught by certified kayak instructors, and class size is limited to 10. Participants must preregister by calling the park at 573-858-3015.

Current River State Park is located 15 miles north of Eminence or 27 miles south of Salem on Hwy 19. For more information about the event, call Current River State Park at 573-858-3015.
