Wildflower walk and guided bison hike at Prairie State Park this month

With summer in full swing, wildflowers and bison abound at Prairie State Park near Mindenmines. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, Prairie State Park will host a guided bison hike on July 11 at 10 a.m. and a wildflower walk on July 18 at 10 a.m.

Participants should be prepared for a two-mile hike over uneven terrain. Bringing water, snacks, insect repellent, a hat, sunscreen, a camera and wearing sturdy shoes is recommended.

Prairie State Park is located at 128 NW 150th Lane near Mindenmines. To register or for additional information, contact the park at 417-843-6711.
